Q: What’s this ‘Meritos’?
A: It’s the name of my one-man company when I was self-employed. Still officially exists (yes, you can hire me, if I’ve got time, which is kinda, like, never…). The name has no meaning, although the combination “merit” and “os” as in open source sounds like as good an explanation as any.
Q: Why should I read this blog?
A: You shouldn’t, really. There’s plenty of better things to do. And no, I will not reimburse the precious minutes you’ve wasted reading this crap. Let that be a lesson to you.
Q: Why are you writing this blog?
A: Two reasons: first, it allows me to vent my frustrations without taking it out on the wife and the cats. Second, I have the persistent illusion that once or twice a year I actually manage to write something mildly entertaining or even (really going out on a limb here) insightful, and I thought it would be nice to share it with you, since you don’t seem to have a life anyway. Still reading this, right?
