Yes we did it!!! Finally found an apartment in Amsterdam, and not only that, on an ideal location: right in the heart of the Jordaan.
The apartment itself is nothing special, kind of a miniature penthouse in a nondescript 4 apartment building put up in the eighties, but the location is f***ing perfect.

About last month part 1

Yeah, it’s been a while since my last post. Lots of stuff happened. We finally have a manager to run the Internet-team. First impressions are positive, at least something will start happening here, so I agreed to renew my contract for a year.
Ofcourse, as soon as this happened the shit hit the fan: in the second weekend the site for Sterren Dansen couldn’t handle the large number of visitors. We fixed the problem, only to find that the next weekend the bottleneck had moved to a different part of the decrepit old infrastructure.
And just after we fixed that, the TV guys had a nice surprise for us: not once but twice they cut short a live show of an thrilling darts match (this may be a contradiction in terms for some…) before the final set in favor of regular scheduled programming. But not before they announced that the rest of the game could be seen live on our website.
The resulting tidalwave of visitors caused a nice spike in our statistics. Seconds before the whole thing came to a grinding halt….
On the upside: these incidents made it very clear to upper management that we need to upgrade our antiquated infrastructure now.
